Phillip

A Knight in service of House Jasper

Description:

A lanky young man with a large nose. He wears his black hair short and doesn’t yet need to shave to keep his cheeks smooth. He is easily impressed, somewhat naive, and seems a touch gullible.

Bio:

Phillip was raised on Paps and has had a bond with Ella Elesham since they were young. He had been a squire to a Ser Edric, who served House Elesham, but Edric was killed in the fray at the Battle at the Trident. Phillip was knighted by Ser Lyn Corbray after Phillip fought off two men who were attempting to flank Lyn. Ser Lyn knighted Phillip as thanks and House Elesham agreed that Phillip should take his former master’s place in their employ.

As part of a bargain struck between Lady Mya Elesham and an envoy from House Jasper Phillip set sail for Snownook aboard the Cornelia in April 284 AC. He was presented before Lord Ronnel and Lady Alys and was then sworn into service alongside Lady Ella and Ser Cedric by Ser Darron.

After a trial of seven was ordered by Lord Jasper to resolve the issue of whether Ser Cortnay had murdered Ser Hoster Woodhull in a joust the accused and the accuser (James Woodhull) set about recruiting champions to fight for their causes. Phillip agreed to fight for Cortnay. The young knight fought hard but after sustaining several wounds from Maelys the young knight withdrew.

In August of 286 AC Phillip arrested Nail on testimony from Slim and Hamond that the former had beaten Hamond without provocation. The next day, when Gregoriy returned, Phillip informed the leader of his man’s predicament. He then led Gregoriy and Carsen to the cellar tavern where he witnessed the interrogation and maiming of Hamond.

In December of 286 AC Phillip approached Caren and asked for his help in being more “spicious” and less easily deceived. Carsen invited him to join the quest to reclaim Victorinox and Phillip eagerly accepted. He set sail with the rest of Jasper’s small council bound for the Reach. As the Rambis passed the Stepstones they were set upon by Ironborn reavers. Ser Phillip fought valiantly, cutting down a few before he was overwhelmed and forced over the vessel’s edge. With his allies occupied by repelling the Ironborn boarding none were able to help Phillip as he slipped under the waves, pulled deeper and deeper by the weight of his armor.
