Sevron "The Silver"

The first bard recruited to the Bardic College

Description:

Sevron has coined himself “the silver” for both his hair and voice. He tends to sing while playing a lute but is also quick to joke. Sevron feels he is a man of… convenient… faith.

He was a founding member of the renowned ‘Silver and Gold Mummers’; though he and his partner Glenda parted ways at the Tourney at Harrenhall. They were brought back together by fate in 286 AC and Glenda and Sevron married not long after.

Bio:

Sevron prefers to travel by boat, and as a result has spent much of his life performing in White Harbor, Gulltown, and King’s Landing. Sometimes he has ventured as far south as Planky Town but has not ventured to the west coast due to the steep price for a berth for a voyage of that length.

He was performing at WInter’s Reprieve in Gulltown during August of 286 AC when a fellow bard (Ser Dolins) approached with an offer of a place at Snownook. Dolins explained that he is beginning a Bardic School and that a man of Sevron skill and experience would make for a fine ‘first professor’… Sevron seemed swayed but said the matter deserved further thought. He told Dolins to return later in the week after he had time to mull it over.

Sevron was performing at Heart’s Home in October of 286 AC when he heard that Snownook was becoming renowned for its support of bards, mummers, and culture. He traveled to a festival hosted by House Jasper and was enchanted by Dolins’ performance of a tune called “The Spiced Maidens”… or something of the like. After congratulating Dolins following his performance Sevron agreed to a residency at Snownook to teach young performers just as soon as there are students to teach. On December 3rd 286 AC Sevron arrived at Snownook to begin his residency and introduced his bride to Dolins.

In June of 287 AC Gold & Silver interrupted a meeting of Snownook’s smaller council to raise the issue of depleting enrollment in the Bardic College. Many students had departed in favor of the Faith, a most concerning development to Ser Dolins. They were assured that the matter would be investigated and husband and wife left, somewhat relieved.

When Dolins addressed the staff and students of the Bardic College in May of 288AC he made an impassioned plea for their support in stopping the construction of a nearby sept by any means. He was fairly convincing, with six people pledging to support him, including Silver. In the first attempt to sabotage the sept Dolins limited the effort to the faculty. He, Silver and Gold snuck out at night, hiding and sabotaging various tools on the site. For his role in the assassination of Utt (Silver disguised himself as Dolins, as an alibi for Dolins, and aided the encamped workers in putting out the fires that were set as a distraction) Silver was promised a large favor from Dolins.
